When you enter the mysterious negg cave, a puzzle will present itself that you need to solve in order to move on. There are three sides to the puzzle and each one contains 9 empty squares that need to be filled with a colour symbol. There are also 3 colours and 3 symbols so you need a combination of each to complete the puzzle.
It is easy to get overwhelmed when solving the puzzle. If you look at the negg and the scroll, the clues will help you figure out where to place each symbol in the puzzle. This will help you fill in the symbols quickly. It is also important to note that the colors and elements cannot overlap. For example, red and water cannot be on the same side of the puzzle.
Once you have placed all of the symbols, you can begin filling in the patterns that the clues provide. Some of the patterns are simple, such as those that are made up of multiple squares or those that contain a large part of the negg. Others, however, are more complicated and require more time to solve. It is important to remember that the clues are only a guide, so don't try to force something into a space that doesn't fit.
The final step is to fill in the remaining spaces with a colour symbol. There are a total of 9 empty squares on each side of the negg, and there are 3 different colours and symbols to choose from. Once you've chosen your colour, the corresponding symbol should appear on the scroll. Remember to check the scroll every now and then to make sure that your colour and symbol choices are correct!
After you have completed the puzzle, you can claim your prize and challenge the Neggbreaker*. If you didn't win the Neggbreaker during the Year 14 Festival of Neggs, you can try again this year!

After you have filled in all of the symbols, you can then submit your answers. You will be given a message indicating whether you have successfully solved the puzzle or not.
If you have successfully completed the puzzle, you will be awarded with The Neggbreaker as a Battledome challenger! This is a random award, so if you don't receive him the first time, keep trying!
